Standard Beams (S) Beams

Standard I-Beams, most commonly used by manufacturers of machines and equipment, lifts and hoists, overhead cranes and transportation. “S” beam sections are available in sizes from 3” x 5.7# to 24” x 90#.

Wide Flange (WF) Beams

Wide flange (WF) beams are typically utilized in the building of structures and applications range from industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and residential projects as well as bridges and infrastructure.

Available in sizes from 4″ x 13# to 44″ x 498#.

H-Pile (HP) Beams

H-Piles are structural beams that are dimensionally share the same height, flange width, and flange/web thickness. H-Piles are commonly driven into the ground for foundation support.

Available sizes ranging from 8″ x 36# to 18″ x 204#.

Structural Steel Beams

Lengths: 20′ up to 65′ in 5′ increments

Certified Steel Company inventories a wide selection of carbon steel channels. Galvanized channels are also available in a limited number of structural sizes.

Standard “C” Channel

Commonly utilized in erection and fabrication of steel structures, frames, and countless other heavy duty industrial applications. These sections typically feature slightly sloped flanges.

Sizes: 3″ x 3.5 lb through 15″ x 50 lb

Grades: ASTM A36, A529-50, A572-50, A992

Miscellaneous “MC” Channel

Also referred to as “Ship”, “Car”, “Junior”, or “Stringer” Channel. These sections are typically used in applications from structural fabrication to heavy equipment manufacturing. These sections primarily have flanges without a significant slope.

Sizes: 3″ x 7.1 lb through 18″ x 58 lb

Grades: ASTM A36, A529-50, A572-50, A992

Bar “BC” Channel

Small channel used in applications that typically aren’t structurally load bearing. Uses can range from material racking to decorative railings.

Sizes: 1″ x 1/2″ x 1/8″ through 2-1/2″ x 5/8″ x 3/16″

Grades: ASTM A36

Certified Steel Company stocks a wide variety of hot-rolled and galvanized angle sections. These sections have an “L” shaped cross section and are utilized in various applications from weight support in structural buildings and framing to decorative and ornamental fabrication.
